Jessica attended the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science while playing Softball for the Division 1 Tarheels. She then earned her Doctorate in Physical therapy at New York University. Jessica is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and is on the board of the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s Young Athlete SIG where her focus is on injury prevention and ACL rehabilitation programs. Jessica is Sports Certified Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association.


Jessica’s passions lie in assisting people to return to activities they enjoy, research, and injury prevention as well as Return to Play Programs for the ACL injury athlete and the overhead athlete. She has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals with a focus on the Overhead Athlete, ACL injury prevention and rehabilitation, and The Young Athlete. She enjoys working with athletes of all ages; professional athletes, young athletes, college athletes, and weekend warriors. She has spoken at conferences nationwide on the topics of ACL Injury, Articular Cartilage Repair and Rehabilitation, and Overuse Injuries in the Young Athlete, and has written book chapters on the topics as well. Her focus in rehabilitation is on individualizing a program based on the specific patient’s goals, strengths, kinetic chain deficits, and ensuring the primary source of pain is addressed to avoid re-injury. Jessica has given lectures at New York University, Hunter, and Columbia University’s physical therapy programs. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. In her spare time, she enjoys road biking, hiking, rock climbing, and pilates.
