What Is Cranio-Sacral Therapy (CST)?

At ADI Rehab we use this as a non-invasive technique, which consists of light-touch body treatment that releases tensions, relieves pain and dysfunction, and improves whole-body health and performance.

The body absorbs stress and it might potentially affect any part of the body systems.

CST releases tensions to allow the body to relax and self-correct. Using light techniques releases any tissue restrictions. Because it’s so gentle, it has been shown to be effective for all ages, from newborns to elders.

By freeing the central nervous system to perform at its best, CST has been shown to naturally reduce pain and stress, strengthen your immune system, and enhance your health and well-being. At ADI Rehab we have state-of-the-art physical therapies for your early recovery.

Why us?

We are offering cranial sacral therapy at ADI Rehab to give our clients another effective treatment approach that can help them recover, enhance, and promote general wellness.

What Can I Expect from a session?

The therapist begins by gently touching various parts of your head and body to monitor the rhythm of the fluid that is flowing around your central nervous system: the Cranio-Sacral Rhythm.

By carefully listening, using light hands touch to locate areas of weak fluid flow or tissue motion, your practitioner might be able to trace those areas of weakness through the body to the original source of dysfunction.

Delicate manual treatment techniques are then used to release those problem areas, and help to improve the form and function of the Cranio-Sacral Rhythm.

There are many indications for Cranio-Sacral Therapy:

  • Chronic pain

  • Irritable bowel syndrome

  • Past or current injury

  • Orthopedic treatment,

  • Post-surgical treatment

  • Stress

  • Anxiety

  • Headache

  • Concussion

  • Concentration

  • Temporomandibular dysfunction (TMJ syndrome)

  • Tissues with soreness, tightness, swell

  • And many more others
